Inositol formula is a nutritional supplement containing inositol, folic acid, vitamin B6 and vitamin B12. These components contribute to the normal functioning of the immune and nervous system, as well as in normal psychological function. A few words about the biochemical action of Inositol In more detail, inositol is known as vitamin B8, a natural glucose isomer. It is a major intermediate key element, second messengers, but also a predominant component of phospholipids of cell membranes involved in many biological processes. It consists of a component of the Organic Information Exchange System. Inositol contributes to the processing of information within the cell, e.g. of biological information contained in hormones. The second messengers are molecules inside the cells that act to transmit signals from a receptor to a target. The term, second messengers, was devised by the discovery of these substances in order to distinguish them from hormones and other molecules that operate outside the cell as "first messengers" in the transmission of biological information. A large number of molecules have been characterized as second messengers, including among other other molecules derived from phospholipids (inositol triphosphate).
